Introduction
Prof. Dr. Sattar did MBBS graduation and joined Pak Army. Underwent one-year Clinical Pathology Training in Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), Rawalpindi, and qualified MCPS (Clinical Pathology) from CPSP Karachi. He served as Clinical Pathologist in various Pakistan Armed Forces Hospitals till 1988. Underwent Fellowship training from 1989- 1992 at AFIP Rawalpindi and qualified FCPS (Chemical Pathology). Dr. Sattar underwent "On Job Training" at Royal Free Hospital London UK and served as Head Department of Chemical Pathology & Endocrinology at AFIP Rawalpindi and as Head Dept. of Pathology Combined Military Hospital Lahore and Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Sattar has 35 years experience of serving as a Clinical Pathologist including 29 years as a consultant Chemical Pathologist, having vast experience in practicing laboratory medicine and Pathology Laboratory Management. He has been awarded SITARA-E-IMTIAZ (M) for meritorious services rendered to Pakistan Army and was awarded the "Life Time Achievement Award" from the Pakistan Association of Pathology for contribution to Pathology Services in Pakistan. He has also provided supervisor-ship to 10 postgraduate students for Fellowship training who have all qualified for FCPS in Chemical Pathology.
