Introduction
Prof. Dr. Tahseen Riaz (FCPS) is a distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with more than 35 years of specialized experience in the field. He has served as Ex-Dean, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital Lahore, Ex-Director of Jinnah Hospital Lahore, and Ex-Director of the Trauma Centre. Currently, he is the Head of Department and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Indus Hospital Lahore, leading a team of dedicated orthopaedic surgeons.
Over the course of his career, Prof. Riaz has successfully performed more than 600 total knee joint replacements and 500 hip joint replacements, and has mentored over 70 orthopaedic fellows, many of whom are now contributing to orthopaedic infrastructure globally. His areas of expertise include knee replacement, hip replacement, arthroscopic sports surgeries, and complex trauma reconstruction. Whether it is joint replacement, minimally invasive arthroscopy, or advanced fracture surgery, he and his team provide state-of-the-art, patient-centered solutions.
Prof. Riaz is internationally recognized as a Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Rheumatology, the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, and SICOT. He has also served as Technical Advisor to the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) and the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), and as an examiner for postgraduate programmes at King Edward Medical University (KEMU), University of Health Sciences (UHS), Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), and the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
