Introduction

Prof. Dr. Sidra Cheema is a graduate of King Edward Medical University. She completed her Pathology Residency Training at Beth Israel-St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, a prestigious Columbia Presbyterian University Program in New York City, USA. Dr. Cheema is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (Anatomical), a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (FASCP), and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (FCAP). She further refined her expertise by practicing as an attending pathologist at Doctor’s Hospital, Laredo, Texas.

Recently, Dr. Cheema completed a one-year Clinical Nephropathology Certification and a one-year Advanced Clinical Nephropathology Certification offered by Harvard Medical School and the International Society of Nephrologists. In 2023, she attended the World Congress of Nephrology in Bangkok, Thailand, where she presented her research work and served as the presenting author for two abstract submissions.

Her specialty is histopathology, with particular interest in breast and renal pathology, and her work has been published in numerous renowned journals. Teaching is Dr. Cheema’s true passion, and she currently serves as Professor of Pathology and Adjunct Faculty at CMH Lahore Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan, as well as Lab Director at Integrated Medical Care Hospital, where she continues to lead, mentor, and inspire the next generation of pathologists.
